During pregnancy and breastfeeding, you may experience changes in your skin. Here are some things you should be aware of regarding acne treatment during pregnancy: 

• Acne may improve during your pregnancy, or it may worsen due to hormonal changes. 

• While you cannot control your hormones during this time, you can manage certain lifestyle factors. Being mindful of lifestyle recommendations can help you achieve and maintain clear skin or minimize breakouts. For more insights, please refer to the link Lifestyle Choices That Can Affect Acne. 

• Many prenatal vitamins include iodides and/or biotin, which are common acne triggers. 

• If you are currently using Face Reality’s Clear Skin Balance and/or Clear Skin Restore supplements, consult your doctor before continuing. It's important to discuss any additional ingredients or products they might advise you to avoid. 

• Active products such as serums and the Advanced Acne Med are beneficial for clearing acne and assist us in extracting your acne lesions. If you cannot or choose not to use any active products during your pregnancy, we do not recommend continuing to pay for treatments. 

A release form is required to initiate treatment during pregnancy and breastfeeding. We cannot provide treatments or sell active products without a signed release form on file.
